Flash Tweening
Interpolation is the calculation of additional, approximate values between known values in a set where additional pixels are required and in the calculation for in-between frames in digital animation. Adobe Flash calls this tweening.
- Open Adobe Flash
- Ctrl n to start a new document
- Select Flash File (Action Script 2.0)
- The tool bar is on the right side. Select the Rectangular Tool
- In the example above, I also changed the properties: Rectangule options to be 30.00 to give the curved corners. I also stroked the blue box in red.
- Notice the timeline at the bottom of the screen.
- It uses layers like Photoshop does.
- Click on frame 1 in the timeline. The box should have white dots in
it when it is selected. Go to the Menu bar and select Insert > Motion
Tween.
- Flash will prompt you to change the drawing to a symbol:
- Select OK
- Using the move tool (the
first tool in the tool bar), draw the box to the right side of the screen.
You will see green dots indicating a path the object will take.
- Press Ctrl Enter to create a Flash movie (.swf file).
- Change the Path
