Environment - Monitor Sizes/Resolution

Monitor sizes vary from the very small smart phones to the very large flat screens. A website designed for a 1024 x 768 resolution monitor may not appear the same on a monitor with a 800 x 600 resolution. Make sure you test your website on different monitor and resolution sizes.

NOTE: Make sure the most important information is at the top left side of the web page.

The resolution of a monitor can vary. These are some of the standard monitor resolutions:

  • 640 x 480
  • 800 x 600
  • 1024 x 768 - Most Common Screen Size
  • 1152 x 864
  • 1280 x 1024
  • 1600 x 1200
