You want your visitors to find your website helpful and enjoyable. It is a good approach to take a user-centered approach when designing a website. This means that you need to KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE and what they want to see. The best way to find out what your users want is to gather their requirements.

For example: If you are designing a website for a club or an organization then make sure you collect their requirements.

If you are designing a website to sell products or services, include a few current customers in gathering your requirements.
