Photoshop - Backup Layer
It is a good idea to make a back up of your original photo. If you make a mistake, you will have this backup layer to use.
- Make sure you can see your Layers Panel. If you do not see the Layers Panel, go to Window and check Layer or press F7 key.
- Make sure there is plenty of white space around your panel.
- Double click the tab to collapse or expand it.
- Right click on a tab to close the tab.
- Right click on the tab to close all the tabs in that group.
- Click on the Layer menu box.
- Select Duplicate Layer.
- You will see the copy in the Layers panel.
- Make sure the "eye" that indicates layer visibility is not checked on the copy.
