Accessibility
These are the files in this section:
The World Wide Web was designed to be used at any location by anyone. Universal Usability is about supporting all users no matter what technology or disabilities they may have.
All we know about visitors to a website is that they use some type of hardware and a browser to access the world wide web.
A website that works on a wide variety of these items to reach a wider audience:
- Browsers
- Monitors/Resolutions
- Hardware
- PDA's and Mobile phones
- PC vs Mac
- Plug-ins
- Connection speeds
- Technical abilities
- Disabilities - Some visitors may have viewing or hearing disabilities. Make sure you always add alt tag for images. You can test with Braille or speech-based browsers.
- Color Blindness
- Screen readers
