Cookies and Microsoft Vista

Make sure you can view the cookies folder

  • Click on the Start button
  • At the top select your User name to get into the user group
  • Click the Organize button
  • Select Folder and search options
  • Click the View tab
    • Choose Show hidden files and folders
    • Uncheck Hide protected operating system files
  • Select Yes to confirm
  • OK to exit

Viewing Cookies

  • Go to your User window > AppData > Roaming > Microsoft > Windows > Cookies
  • You will see a list of the cookies that different sites have put on your computer
  • You can delete them
  • The folder named Low
    • Vista with Internet Explorer 7 introduced a new security level called protected mode that stores cookies in a separate cache, which is inaccessible to normal mode processes.
